Grateful Reject: Day 2

It's day two of Grateful Reject week. If you missed yesterday's post of something that makes me grateful for rejections, click HERE.

Today I wanted to share the second reason I have for being grateful for rejections: It means I didn't have to close this query out as a CNR.

For those new to the game, CNR stands for Closed No Response.

CNR's are horrible. Did my query get lost? Did the agent even get my query? Were they just too busy to send me a response? Did they read it at all?

Too be fair, CNR's are the name of the game. That's what it means when an agent says a no response is a no. I've gotten a lot of CNR's.

Still, it doesn't mean I like them. For this reason, I am grateful for rejections and appreciate the contact.
